SEARCHING
Orientation :
Searching is a Thriller movie. Directed by Aneesh Chaganty, shows stars like John Cho, Debra Messing, Michella La, Sara John, Joseph Lee, Alex Jayne Go, and many more. This film is produced by Timur Bekmambetov, Sev Ohanian, Natalie Qasabian, and Adam Sidman. Written by Aneesh Chaganty and Sev Ohanian.
Evaluation :
In my opinion the film is very genius, I
have never seen a film that is almost entirely arranged on smartphones and
computer screens. I think this is a new breakthrough in the world of cinema and
makes a new impression in the eyes of the audience, especially for me as a
thriller enthusiast. My favorite part of this film is when Margot's father
found it himself, with the help of his daughter's social media account because
the detective didn't help him well. This is a thriller that can certainly be
accurately described as the original. It takes a fairly typical tension story
about a newly widowed father whose daughter disappeared one night and presents
it in the most unique way. All films are played on a computer screen through
programs such as Facetime, iMessage, Gmail, Tumblr, Facebook, etc. In this way,
it reflects the fact that so many people are now living, remembering so much
now that literally never releases devices. He can track the perpetrators who
make Margot disappear only with the help of social media, which nowadays
everyone must have a social media account. Even the father can find the
location where Margot crashes and finally finds Margot under the ravine and
manages to save his daughter. I never thought of being in the position of
Margot's father to find it with the help of his social media.
Interpretative Recount
After
David Kim (John Cho)'s 16-year-old daughter goes missing, a local investigation
is opened and a detective is assigned to the case. But 37 hours later and
without a single lead, David decides to search the one place no one has looked
yet, where all secrets are kept today: his daughter's laptop. In a hyper-modern
thriller told via the technology devices we use every day to communicate, David
must trace his daughter's digital footprints before she disappears forever.
Evaluation Summation
I
highly recommend this film for you if you want to watch a movie in a different
perspective. The storyline is unique and unpredictable how its end makes the
audience increasingly curious. the conflict found in this film is very familiar
with today's people who are close to social media, the message conveyed is also
very good and the description of the relationship between family that is very
close can make us touched by the story. I rate this film 9 out of 10. Enjoy
this movie!
