Moana is an animated musical adventure film inspired by Polynesian legend about a demigod named Maui. The film was directed by Ron Clements and John Musker. And Auli'i Cravalho, Dwayne Johnson, Temuera Morrison became the main voice actors. The film was released by Walt Disney Pictures on November 23, 2016.

 

Evaluation

I like this film because it describes the courage and toughness of a girl who sacrifices her comfort to save her suffering people. Especially when Moana dared to take the decision to go across the ocean to restore the heart of Te Fiti regardless of what risks she would face. As moana navigates the ocean, blue sea, white sand and tropical flowers are displayed that are very detailed and realistic, making me feel like I'm in the sea too. The film is interspersed with comedy made by pet moana, namely a chicken and a pig. Because the chicken is different from other chickens, because the chicken is eating rocks

 

Interpretative Recount

Moana is a child of the Motunui chief, in the Pacific Islands. The 16-year-old girl was outlined to continue the father's throne. Growing up on the islands and surrounded by so vast nature, their parents forbid to approach the sea. The reason is that the sea is considered dangerous for the Motunui tribe. Until the time came, the source of life on the island had a problem. According to the folklore Moana heard from her grandmother, all the problems were caused by the dying of Te Fiti, the creator of life, because her heart was stolen. Te Fiti's heart was stolen by a demigod named Maui. The heart in the form of a green spiral then fell into the middle of the ocean, and disappeared, when Maui was unable to look after him. As a leader, Moana also made a decision so that the fishermen would go further into the sea. However, his wish was not approved by his father. Moana is confused and looking for a way out. The grandmother who knew Moana's great wishes then gave her support. Moana then decides to try himself and prove the dangers like what his father feared. Moana sailing quietly with his pet pig named Pua.In his adventure Moana meets Maui, a demigod who is strong and accidentally pulled by sea power. With Maui, he sailed and experienced various challenging things, such as dealing with big monsters and adventures defeating themselves.

 

Evaluative Summation

I recommend this film to watch with family. I think this film is good and many moral messages can be taken. The music and animation in this film is so good that people will miss the atmosphere in the ocean. The storyline is also light so children can watch it.  And this film is full of exciting adventures and love from the family. I give the rate 9 out of 10.
